Lawrence Brownlee gave an exciting and critically well-received performance with the Washington Concert Opera, in Rossini’s Donna del Lago, last year. He has also sung in the Marilyn Horne Foundation recital series, including their Gala concert.

In future seasons, Mr. Brownlee has scheduled important debuts with The Metropolitan Opera, Vienna Staatsoper, Houston Grand Opera, San Diego Opera, La Monnaie in Brussels, Hamburgische Staatsoper, Opera Company of Philadelphia, Semperoper in Dresden, L'Opera Lirica in Trieste. He will sing various leading roles with the Seattle Opera for several seasons to come.

After winning the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in 2001, he went on to make his debut at La Scala in Il barbiere di Siviglia. He also won the 2003 ARIA Award and a 2003 Career Grant from the Richard Tucker Foundation.
